Got out to try out the new machine. No beaches in the area so took it to a sand tot lot i hit every so offten.

The one thing i did notice right away is the thing picks up on the smallest things. I thought i had found small things before with my Whites QXT Pro but wow. It was all junk but small parts of rusty nails a small watch batt. i thought i was going to have to go out and buy a small thing of screen mesh just to make sure i wasn't missing anything small. Got tired of digging tiny bits of nails and what not so added just enuf disc. to tune em out. After that things were good. Three nickles(one is a 41) other clad and one more car to add to my collection.

Theres 2 things i didn't like about this machine the first thing i noticed when i took it out of the box and put it together was it felt real cheap. Felt almost as if it would fall apart when i picked the thing up. But after swinging it for awhile and getting use to it everything seems good.

The other thing was how the batt. install. Everything is in the head phones which doesn't bother me but it takes two 9volts and the one thing that would happen to me on other machines or things that took 9volts is the wires that connect the batt. would always pull out or strip.

Other then that it's a good machine for the price so far the next test will be the beach.
I also have to remember that i am wearing head phones and i can't just set the machine down next to me inless i am right next to it on the ground. It doesn't feel to good when the head phones get yanked off the head. Ears are a bit red. Well HH all

Congrats on the new machine Mighty_Mouse. Nice first run too, you learned a few things about it which will help down the road (no more red ears too ;D)
Looking forward to seeing more.

:D I know it stinks when there's not enough cord! BUT..looks like it'll find the goodies. ;)
