Todays Finds

I had to run to the creek before the rain comes tonight. Walked half the creek and found just flake tools, pottery and a large piece of a stone bowl. Not a terrible hunt but no points today. Maybe the rain will wash some out for me. HH, rock

Hey Rock, Are you walking gravel bars along the creek or farm fields? Around here, a rain wouldn't expose anything on a gravel bar. The creeks and rivers need to get about 3/4's full before stuff gets moved around or cut out of the bank.
What ever you are doing is working though. Congrats on all your finds.

We got hammered with rain today. I was going to walk some fields this weekend but now will be a mud hole.

Those were creek finds. Most were in the water in the current sections. We still need to drop a bit in the water level but we keep getting rain. I do walk fields also but most are covered rite now. The gravel bars are high and as the water drops the artifacts will be left on the edges and when it rains they will then pop out on the tops. It rained the other day but I dont believe it was enough to reveal much. Thanks for the nice comments everyone and I would like to find a stone bowl.
