today we decided to go back to a lovely field we have been to a few times, the electric fence was off, so we were able to do the edges. The weather was perfect, the Ground was a lot more forgiving on the knees so off we went… so glad we did, although not as exciting as yesterdays finds, we loved it it just the same, musket balls, capstan lead shot, (?) lead bits and bobs, buckle and part of a horse shoe, super lightweight, guessing a racing shoe 🏇 xx

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Certainly no end to the digging of lead.
Not as cool as yesterday, but still a target rich spot.

Those lead bits that look like cotton reels are a puzzler. You find lots of them, every outing!
We find tons of shaped lead & weights but never had any that shape. That is why I think they are significate to your area or site. Wish I understood the clue they are giving you, but for now collect them all up & keep them separate, they are at least a couple of hundred years old, probably much older.
