Today's Relic Hunt (6 photos)

Went back this morning to the place where I found a late 1700's shoe buckle and got swinging. Hunted alone today. Well, except for all the dogs that had to come and investigate me. Managed a few keepers along with all the old shotgun shells and bullet casings. The first hole I dug was the Paris buckle. The line check tag was super deep. After awhile I was thinking it could've been large iron, but I kept digging and it showed up about 12" down. Really is a nice change to be digging in sugarsand. The goodies survive pretty good. Take care.
HH, Mike in NJ

Does anyone have any info on this employee tag? All I can find is AM.RY.S Co is the American Railway Supply Co. A search of N.Y.T. Co brings up New York Times. Not sure what the line check person does, well other then checking the line. ;D Possibly New York Transit???
Thanks, Mike

Re: Today's Relic Hunt (6 photos)

thats funny that you dug up that nyt co. tag.........i just recently quit my job building train cars for new jersey transit here in upstate ny, which i did for about 9 1/2 yrs. here i was thinking i'll never have to see anything to do with train cars again and look what you dig up...lol. oh well, it was an ok job for the numbers of yrs. i built those things....i built the newer models and you find something that possibly has to do with the old days of trains in your area.........anyway, good job and continued HH..............mark43
