Today's shard and mystery object

Found one small shard today and a piece of smoky quartz that looks like it's been flaked to me but is not a point so don't know what it is. If anyone has any ideas I would love some input.

If it isn't broken could be a nice translucent point. nice find.

For every "point" that a Native American napped, there were hundreds of flakes that ended up discarded, some larger and some just chips. Yours may just be one of these, if not part of an actual broken point. Its a keeper though.

Does kinda look like a point. I like it what ever it is. There is an area in mid state SC that has a vein of smokie quartz. I can't remember where. Tony
