Went out for about an hour this morning. The crazy wind blew me back home. It was just too much.
I looked at a spot close to my house next to the RR tracks where a recent fire burned off all the heavy brush. There were signs of old glass and china.

Got a couple of rope tensioners, a pocket knife, a smashed thimble, a watch, and some kinda strange aluminum bezel/hood.

Does anyone recognize the bezel/hood thingy? It's about 3" in diameter. Wondering if train related. :dontknow:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I'd say the bezel was part of a signal light, for telling the train which direction of the track was good to go so there's no head on accidents, or even maybe a railroad crossing sign.
Seems small for a signal light, maybe on the traffic arm that's for crossings. Mainline lights are big.
