Todays stuff Button Question

Any one know about this hawk brand and buck brand, Kirktn got one today that says Elk Brand, gotta be somthing to that,
Also the Texas star button, surly its not a Texas button, no backs on any of them.

Somebody help us out, are these like jacket, pants, or maybe overall buttons or what and what era are we talkin' about. I can't find anything on the Elk Brand I found yesterday.
