Exciting title, huh? Hello fellow nerds....attached is a pic of 50 rolls of halves, sorted by weight. Left side is 224.8 grams. Right side is 226.0. Sorted by tenths of a gram.

From personal experience, it takes me about as much time to weigh my half dollar rolls as it would for me to open half the box... Unless you're selling the "unsearched" rolls on feebay to make a few zincolns, weighing the rolls doesn't seem to be worth the time.

Any rolls 224.0-225.5g seem to never give up anything for me.
225.6-225.9g seem to rarely produce for me (always a 40%er since the weight is about the same as a common clad)
226.0-226.3g will give up a 40%er about 1 in every 7-10 rolls but these weights are uncommon.
226.4-226.5g will generally either give up 1-2 40%ers or a worn 90%er.
226.7-227.0g 9 out of 10 times will give up a 90%er.
I did have a 227.5g roll that had a walker and a ben in it once though.

different style wrappers have different thicknesses and some are made of heavier material as well. I've found the wrapper to weigh 1g +/-, when you weigh the half dollar rolls, the weight includes the wrapper on an "unsearched" roll.
I generally weigh my CWR dime rolls when I get home to know how much I was shorted as well, I never go back and demand a refund, but it is nice to know the machine isn't off, the wrapper was.

Looks good to me!!! Better than mine, I might even pick one up. Mine cost more ($15) with specs of 300g X 0.1g. The 1000g max is nice but in reality 300g is all you will ever need for rolls. Average half rolls for me weigh 225.7-226.4g so when I see 227+ (THE MAGIC NUMBER!!!) I am usually sure to get a 90%. In my opinion for coins the ability to weigh by 0.1g is essential. You can weigh rolls, 1982's and junk silver. I also scale all my dime rolls to ensure they are not long or short. I would go for it.
