Well, you shouldn't have to look too far...

Viva, LA is only about 3 miles west of Morganza, LA (where you found the token).

Crawford & Farber's LA Trade Tokens book says Porche operated a general store from about 1904-1908. I find in the 1900 & 1900 Censuses that his name was Donat J. Porche. You said Porsche - was that a typo or auto correct? How about posting pics of the token?

i missed putting the pic in and now i don't know how to get one in the main thread. this token isn't in the book but the one that is is a 25 cent scolloped token and marked rare. this one not being in the book i hope makes it rare also.
