image.jpeg I have some guesses....but I'm really interested to hear about what everyone else sees when they look at this object. Rings up right around a penny.

I'm with BCH. Fare token of some sort. Possibly initials... Knowing where it was found could be helpful in IDing it.

My memory is very vague but because its blank on one side, makes me think it was a logo tag that was stuck onto something. How thick is it? Is it as thick as a coin?.

I'm thinking maybe an ornament for a woman's hat band, a ribbon would pass nicely through the 2 center slots.

I know this has been posted here before. What state?

The middle initial may be I but I cant figure the others.

Thanks for all the help!

It was found in Southern Michigan......and is the same thickness as a quarter.

I was stumped because it is not symetrical - similar to what you would think if it was just a decoration. So I was thinking letters as well - like a monogram. Then I ran across these.....Hmmmmm.....

Yea I think you about solved it. They are Chinese characters. You just need to find out which one it is. It doesnt appear to be Fu, Lu or Shou.

I e-mailed a friend of mine in China....and he took the photo to a University Chinese symbol expert. His answer was "It is not Chinese".

So I was still thinking it was some kind of adornment for a lady......and had that Art Deco look to it. Well - after an unbelievable amount of looking I finally FOUND IT!

1930's costume jewelry - silver plate:

So it was originally part of a more elaborate necklace. Very interesting find! SOLVED!!!
