Found a nice untouched site today, as they say…”follow the water”…
Walked the edge of a field along a old waterway and what would you know, 1/2 mile away from any road.
If only all Spanish silver was this easy to find….
Recoveries-
1882 IHP
1861 IHP fatty
1863 “our union” war token/button
1788 Carlos III 2 reale
Oval silver something?
1847 large cent
1850 large cent
Lock plate
Part of a gorget
Flint ridge knife
Random copper/tombac buttons
Small copper with a cross on it?
Long story short…..had a really good 2 hours

That picture of Carlos in the dirt-that's just sick! :headbang:
That's screen saver all day long, beautiful to say the least.
Have no idea what that little silver item is though.
2 hrs of fun that's for sure.

Can you post any pictures of the site? Nothing that would give away it's location mind you, i just always like to store in my craw they types of areas old timers would have stayed at. What do you think the site was? An old house or camping spot, or battle field or picnic spot?

Usually don’t post any pictures like this….guess I have trust issues….but anyways this is educational for any who cares….see the Est. That is abbreviation for eisenbahn station…. Have not hunted this yet, on next weeks to do list…. Where these recoveries were made was back by the waterway

Nice find ! I use the White V3i too and when I hunt farm fields I use the relic mode, filters at 7.5 , and gain around 10. What program do you use when you detect fields and pastures ?
