Detector(s) used
Garrett CX II/Sovereign SX-2a Pro/Quattro
Got my Sovereign last week and couldn't take it hunting because of heat and family obligations. (Entertaining soon-to-be-eighteen-year-old-daughter. Lots of malls and shopping. GASP!)
Got out today for about an hour after it cooled down. Very happy with detector. Found $2.87 in clad but best find was 1958 nickel...three to four inches deep.(Probably should say 10-12 to keep up with other exaggeraters but just feel like telling truth today. OMG I must be ill!)
First shot with new machine and I'm really happy with it.

Now if it will just cool off...

Not bad for your short trip out. The heat really limits the time we can do this. Go when you can and keep em coming!

The finds will just keep getting better.

Congrats ! No matter how you were moving the coil,

Slow down next time.

Shorter Swings Also.

You'll be Surprised.

& eventually Amazed.

Thanks everyone.

Jeff, I've read many descriptions of your finds (and those of many others) and couldn't wait to get my hands on a XS-2A. I bought it as a backup to my Quattro, but plan to use it a lot over the next month or so until I go back to work. Please keep shooting those suggestions my way. I know just enough to know that I have A LOT to learn about this machine.

Congrats on the new detector and the finds you made in such a short time. Minelab makes some of the best detectors out there, they just take a little time getting use to them. HH and looking forward to your future post.
