Tooth ID Help Please

I found this in some Landscape Rock in South Dakota. Looks like a mammal molar to me... I'd love to know if anyone has any other ideas. Thanks! It's not like any mammal molar that I can think of. It reminds me of a small banded agate which has been tumbled to reveal portions of the banding. Landscape rock may be tumbled to reduce sharp edges . . . to give the rocks a stream-polished look of "river rock."
