Well it's been a couple weeks now since I bought my new Minelab Explorer SE (w/Sunray X-1 Probe) and I am finally getting the hang of it. I am thoroughly pleased with my choice to get the Explorer SE over the Whites MXT or DFX (Both are great machines!). The purchase of the 8" coil really settled the machine down and it is ideal for parks (and long hunts due to weight issues). Lot's of help from GoldenRoyBoy, SilverFreak and DFX-SE Gregg and others I was up and running right away.

I have already found Silver and Gold and I am looking forward to a very productive Summer! ;D

Anyone have any idea on this pin? It is about 1/2" by 1/4" and has a quality keeper on the back . . . .

Here is a picture of me and ExitEden out detecting in Halfmoon Bay, CA with TransBay Greg and several other Bay Area detectorists. Loads of fun in perfect weather.

Oh yeah . . . . Today is my Birthday! :P

Hello Buddy!
That SE is an amazing machine especially shoed up with the FBS-800. Trashy areas don't stand a chance.

That pin is a neat find! Sorry, I don't know nothing bout no pins! :)

Nice pics BB. Now you're ready to rock and roll. I think you will love the SE. The slower you go...the more you'll find.

Hi. Glad to hear you like the new SE. I have been looking at those my self, basically trying to decide if it is worth all that coin!! I'm using a BH 202 now, and it's been good to me, as I have found a lot of coins mainly just in my yard so far. But I think mine is probably missing many older, deeper, GOOD coins. Still looking for now...Oh yeah, Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday beachbumm. You need to get a long handle sand scoop, they work great in the sand. I used mine for the first time last week on vacation in mexico.

Happy birthday! Looks like you've got some good hunting partners; glad you are finding silver and gold. Just remember...we like to see that silver & gold so feel free to post your finds.

Happy Birthday! You will love the minelab explorer SE! I have one too and am still learning as well as getting the Sunray X-1 Target probe. This machine has everything a dectorist can ask for! Good luck in hunting! I find beach hunts are the best ones of all so far! Very nice finds by the way!

Belated b-day wishes...and remember the more you use the Se...the better you will get...best of luck. :)
