When I had just started CRHing, there were a few posts on here about tracking spreadsheets used to keep up with your finds. While everyone has their own purposes and needs from tracking software, none of the posted sheets had what I was looking for.

Since it's been a while, I wanted to see if any of the new members had any cool spreadsheets to share.

Thanks all!

Hey Hokie, I guess I'm just old fashioned but, I have a composition book that I just write what I found that day in and keep a running total going so I know exactly what I have and when I found it , works fine for me, then again, I'm a pretty simple guy though, others may like all that info on their comp but if you comp crashes or something all that info could be lost. Just the way I do it, I'm sure everyone will have a different way. HH, Maverick.

I use numbers on Mac I just enter the date amount searched and what I found and it keeps a running tally at the bottom of total $ searched found and averages as well as total ounces found and total silver value

hmmm, so no one uses spreadsheets to keep track of dump locations, current ag value, account balances, etc? I figured there would be some tech junkies who'd take it too far. I'm in the process of building something, but it's not ready for primetime (or even infomercial hours) yet. hopefully I'll have something soon.

i have a spreadsheet that tracks pickup & dump banks, sorted by town, with address, phone numbers and a column for order dates & details, even contact teller names. I use it to highlight which banks I already called to order & which I already picked up from weekly.

I use another spreadsheet to track total finds by coin type, silver content by type, total silver by type, then columns that track sales, and the final columns track totals "on hand" by subtracting the two using formulas. Makes tracking my progress easy. I used to track finds by the week & subtotal the oz & $ searched, now I just reconcile my stacks to the sheets "on hand" totals, and make changes. I also estimate total $ searched every so often.

I am an Business Manager for a non-profit (for another week or so until I switch jobs), so I guess nerd is in my blood. Happy Hunting, Jonathan

Now that is what I'm talking about. That is pretty sweet. My vision is to create something similar, but the objective would be to track the entire process from beginning to end. IT would have a link to routes, differentiate between bought and found, consolidate it all to track the basis and the current value, and much much more. MY only issue is that I don't know if I'll have the discipline to keep up with it (plus I do low volume). This was more about the concept. I love the results sheet you posted. thats fanatastic.

I would have uploaded the excel file if Tnet supported those files. I have a few relatively small purchases mixed in there (e.g. I did not find the 5 oz ATB CRHing haha) but I used selling some 40% to upgrade to some of my purchases. Also, one error on the sheet is I didn't log the $850 I received for selling my last batch of 40%'s, so my total cash received this year is about $3650. I like keeping results like this because I have really detailed results to analyze, and can see where I am getting the most ROI and what I have on hand at my finger tips.

Find out how much info you can really keep up with, and start logging it. My weekly finds & tracking boxes searched got way too tedious, but I track that which I have the discipline to actually do. I hope you post the results of your spreadsheets some time soon! - Jonathan

Pm me your email and ill send you a clean copy of my spreadsheet.

I remember a thread a while ago about spreadsheets, a user made a template for half dollars. Here's the thread:

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/c...-half-dollar-crh-spreadsheet-google-docs.html

I really liked it, and I've added things and edited it, and modified it for use for dimes and nickels. The best part about it is that it auto-updates the price of silver from APMEX continuously so you always know what everything is worth.
