"Trade Silver" Cross!
Hunted a small "Fur Trade" era Indian camp today that my hunting buddy found Saturday.
Found this small, sheet silver cross (probably an "ear-bob") & some musket balls, gun parts, etc.
What's so unique about it is thay are normally made by silversmiths in Montreal, etc. This one was made by the Indians themselves from sheet silver they traded for.
It dates from 1775-1820 & is 3/4" tall.
