A friend of mine took this photo and it just screams to me trailmarker, but I can't really read it. It looks like a start of a trail to the top left. I don't know what it is about this photo, but the more I look at it the more I feel it is a marker... Ideas? Interpretations?

Wow ... that is nice. Don't know what it is, but it certainly gets one's attention. If one was searching for it, there would be no mistaking it. Great find.

Here's what I see. An elephant with a large hoyo formed by it's trunk and mouth area. There's a pointer "bump" on the left edge of the large hoyo. The smaller hoyo at ground level has another pointer. Both pointers are indicating the main trail goes to the right; around the elephant. I don't see an inverted "V" for a confirmation mark, BUT that tilted Tobias "T" might just be as good or better. ;D

Looks like a marker to me. You might see if another one is facing this one. Only seen that once.

You all have an active imagination... LOL I see rock formations all the time when I am hiking/hunting and think to myself, wonder if those TreasureNet people would think that jagged rock, that looks like a heart and created by erosion, would think that's a heart... hahaha

My sentiments too. My opinion is that if you are in uncharted terra obscura and wish to leave a sign for someone, even yourself, to find later, then you leave an easy to find, unmistakable, permanent rock creation. This business of 'looks like a ...' has gotten a lot of mileage on this forum, and is defended strongly, but the whole idea is illogical and contrary to human nature. Fantasies are more fun than reality I guess.

Go back up and look at Shortstacks first post. Bottom corner her has the word pointer inside an upward arrow. Look on both roacks to the left and right of his arrow. I see a lot of scratches and lines etc on both boulders.

Is that anything?
