I've been using car chargers for larger items, and usb gator clippers for smaller items. BUT....I found this old thing cleaning out my closet and began wondering. Will this work for an electrolysis unit? And also, would this give me the ability to fine tune for a variety of items? It seems like it has alot of potential and I would like to know if anyone else has experience. I don't even want to tempt it, if it would just ruin it.

Would probably work. It doesn't take much voltage for electrolysis to work. I use mini chargers for cell phones even on large items. I would be careful if it is high enough output to hurt you if you forget and dip your hand in the soup while it's cooking! The ones I use only produce 5 volts at 800 milliamps.
