Old Bookeroo, hope you are still with us. Knowing the laws of a country were you go is really intelligent. The US is a lot more forgiving than most countries. IMO

this is the first gold "coins" minted in America. Cortes melted down Aztec gold to make these, since Spain would not allow gold coins to be minted, (silver only). There are only 10 known to exist as they were all melted down to coin real escudos when they were allowed to.
