Trash or Treasure??

Hi Tnet..I guess it was one of those days..I went back to the old spot where i found the colonail stuff ..I just knew it was going to be a great day..Got the machine out and started looking.....After about 10 mins.I Got a beep !!!!A piece of junk lead :-[

(Went on for about another 15 mins.And found the pewter spoon!!Broken.. :'(

I thought ,i will get something good in a bit..Another 20 mins. goes by and then a beep!!!A brass buckle !! Broken .... $:-\$ so what better way to finish the day ,then the last find , a nice broken pewter button.. I just wanted to share the pain ..Relic

Don't mean to infringe on your post but, I found a full scalloped shape spoon with the same exact design you have. Mine is gilted with gold. First one of these designs I've found. There are no makers marks on mine....does yours have any? I think mine is a sugar spoon. Maybe someone who reads this can ID. Thanks Hogge Sorry about the scan but the spoon was made this way......tough to scan.

Honestly I would at least keep the spoon handle. It is a beautiful design and would look great in some display of your finds! I would keep it anyway!

Hopefully next time you go you will find something to make your heart pound and cause you to happy dance! :wink:

Thank you for the replies..It is the same spoon,yours looks like copper and this one is pewter..I think its pretty old.. I dont see any marks, other then whats on yours..Im going to keep it all.. After all the labor to find them..I will hit the spanish gold soon..
