Hi All,
Well I just got back from a Great Vacation in Michigan. My wife, the cat and I took our camper and headed for the Great State of Michigan. I had two whole weeks of water hunting and I had a great time.

Well first off I took along my 5.5 Evenrude motor and I rented a aluminum boat. Can't go to a lake and not be able to get around. I hunted in the water almost everyday and the day's I didn't hunt in the water, I was looking for land sites to hunt, but it was so hot I just hunted in the water.

One of my finds the first day was a key, I call it my Treasure Chest Key. LOL!!! All together I found 10 rings, 4 were Gold, 1 was White Gold and 5 were Silver. Three of the Gold Rings were mens wedding bands, one of the Gold rings was a ladies Garnet ring with a couple of diamonds on the sides, one of the silver rings must be a size 13 or 14, it's a mans ring.

I also found 2 Silver Necklaces, a cross, a Silver Birthday charm, a Swiss Knife and a cigar cutter. Of course I would be remiss if I didn't tell you about the 350 Beer Bottle caps that I dug and over 180 pull tabs and other assorted junk.

All in all, we had a great vacation. I didn't hunt all the time, my wife and I went to some garage sales and of course we just traveled around the country side. Of course I was looking for places to hunt, LOL. We also ate at some really great eateries.

Hope your vacation was just as Great, or if you haven't been on vacation, get out there and do it.

I forgot to mention the $5 dollar bill that is posted in the picture. I found it one morning while going to my boat. NOW that's a Great Way to Start anyday!! I also picked up a Silver Roosevelt dime and a couple of Wheat pennies.

I'm sending along a couple of pictures of the boat and motor.

Thanks for the replies, and yeah right, I'll be sure to tell him where I hunted, Yeah Right. All I can say it was at a lake in Michigan. Guess that narrows it down to at least 1000 lakes. LOL! Now get out there and find your own goodies!!!!

It looks like it was a great vacation. You can take all of those bottle caps and nail them to a board, and make you a redneck boot scraper to remove the mud before entering the house :D :D :D Great pics to go with some fantastic finds.

i'm glad you posted the trash and junk too, I think we sometimes forget how much we slave for the keepers we find. Not many of us just get the good stuff without double in trash.

I'm glad you had a nice vacation

Some sweet finds Denny. Finding those solid gold wedding bands must be exciting. :)

That little boat looks inviting. Did you do any fishing? That would be a hard temptation to pass up.

That motor looks like an old one. My mom just picked up a 14 ft boat with a 9.9 Merc. The motor is a '69 but runs great.

What part of Michigan did you go to?

Scuba or wading up to your neck?

Wow Bob, I'd love to have a 14 ft. boat. I also have a 9.9 Merc. but it's in the shop getting a lower end put on it. I'm using my Evinrude 1958 5.5 hp motor. It is still a good little motor. If you take care of them, they will take care of you.

No I don't fish. Who could fish when you can be detecting in the water. LOL

Too all the guys who are wondering where I was detecting in Michigan, I'll just say it one more time, I was in a lake in Michigan. That only leaves you with about 1000 lakes to look at. LOL
