As far as I know the rules don't say anything about it. Why don't you give Ron Shore a call at http://www.windycitydetectors.com 773-774-5445 and see if he has one? Good luck with the Pro Coil, I hope you really like it. It's nice and light, but it does get snagged up easily in the woods. Everywhere else it's great, and it comes with a thin a light coil cover standard on it.
