Went back to a old house that had pulled in some nice coins in the past with the etrac armed with a ttf program. Now you really have to put up with alot of racket but look what was left behind in the heavy trash.
Really makes you think and puts the old "a place is never really hunted out" into perspective. The tag said MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN.
thanks for looking and HH

Don't give the settings too much credit because gaining experience in hunting sites like that counts a lot.... and those places tend to hang on quite a while to keep finding stuff. I played with my settings for quite a while until I reached a point where they were perfect for the type of sites I hunt, and I have never looked back.

IP, when I first got the trac I too found myself asking about others programs that worked for THEM...but soon found if I put the time into the machine I would have what I NEEDED. But you have to admit, without Andy's book and the help of the other etrac guys we would be way behind the rest.

Now I find that I have a few preset programs that covers the way I hunt. That matched with being comfortable with the machine really helps.

Good luck this year!

His first look came out well before the E-trac, and maybe even before the explorer II. It was quite a few years ago.... "Mastering the Minelab Explorer" I think it was. I don't really pay much attention but have seen the book because it came with a used deal I purchased. I might have also got one with a purchase early on. I don't even know what the last book looks like.
