I think we all know the Sac meeting is more important, if people go tonight let others about the sac meeting if possible.

I think if you go to the sac meeting, your best to get on the speaking agenda. If its anything like the DFG/DFW meetings and commissions they will have card to fill out for public comment and give you two minutes or so, and if you go, just dont sit there, sign up to speak and you can give your time to another, like to goldwasher or another tnet member with something to say......I will give away my time if its needed

Whats the public speaking like at the Sac meeting? Live stream on web too? Phone conference? we should bump another thread on the sac meeting to get thoughts going again, this one will die shortly

I'm heading to the Fresno meeting next Tuesday. thats why I was doing my research. I plan to speak.

The have a meeting for this in San Bernardino on January 18th... Is this workshop something that inexperienced prospectors should consider attending for moral support? I've never dredged, as it's been banned since 2009 and that was before I got the fever. But I do enjoy the river and the outdoors and finding gold. I just don't feel I have much to offer to the meeting other than just another body supporting the right to dredge.

might be better off pushing for something like a streambed alteration agreement rather than a NPDES.
they already have it all planned out anyway you'll be lucky if there are 3 streams open what with 303d and critter habitat.
California is lost because you wont protest, I mean protest like the Dakota pipeline protest bring in other groups pay homeless people IDK.
.
what it should look like...

Good job Mike. If I can make it I'll be at the Redding one also. Please shoot me a pm after tonight and brief me.

Problem is the Dapl protests are a bunch of hooey and sheep are protesting. There is never a shortage of people ready to protest something they know nothing about. The people who stand the most chance of the Gov. taking something from them, are usually at work during meetings.

bump...... anyone go to the Tuolumne meeting? your thoughts?

Toulumne meeting went great [emoji106] to bad more of you with questions couldn't be there ! You now have a staffed district of local miners and the real work begins! The contact information will be listed on MiningDistricts.com I encourage all to get involved and take advantage of all this tool has to offer

We had about 45 people in attendance ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1484350851.708634.webp

how many claim owners are in Tuolumne county total? 45 out of how many? Will new district be speaking at Sacramento or Fresno meeting?

Congratulations.. Robert .Kevin and Shannon Poe most certainly deserve all the thanks. I suspect your flock will reap all that you've gentlemen have sown.

WTF?

How many of those "about 45 people" actually own claims in Tuolumne county? (I counted 23 in the picture)

There are 442 Active claims in Tuolumne county.
There are 431 Claim Owners in Tuolumne county.
(yeah I know stuff like that)

You think those "about 45 people" can form a district for the 431 Active claim owners in Tuolumne county?

If you actually notified all 431 claim owners wouldn't their lack of interest in your scheme be enough of a NO vote to clue you in that your enormous "district" is not wanted?

Are you folks from Russia or is this the new California "democracy" in action?

The thing that cracks me up is you are attempting to form a giant mining district so you can be represented in government but you don't even bother with the niceties of allowing the claim owners to form their own representative district to participate in.

Your just conmen. Only advantages are for yourself. Shannon and Kevin. The rest are sheep only wanted for Thier wallets. .

Out of Curiosity... all those in this thread that DO have mining claims in Tuolumne county, why didnt you just go to the meeting? Especially if you're concerned about the persons actions. Shouldnt you be in attendance to SPEAK OUT on that sort of thing? I'm sorry, the internet on a web forum is not the place. The place is in person, at the meetings, to say what you have to say, against or for an idea, and let others in attendance hear your frustrations, your fears.... Again, it has more power in person that behind a keyboard. Now scuze me while i go cover myself in flame re-tardent

Barry and MadMarshall - If you guys have an idea where at the end of the day Mining and Miners are better off count me in. I'll do research, pull paperwork from County archives, meet with mining clubs, hand out fliers at gold shows, whatever it takes - We need to all work together to push back future State legislation and try and restore as many of our mining rights as possible. Lets get started - Tell me what you want me to do.

Miners have not been organized enough to sustain a large dynamic constituency - Goldwasher and several local miners have been trying to educate legislators in California to push back these drastic mining laws but it isn't enough. We need miner numbers, dollars and voices attending ALL local, State and Federal meetings in addition to WB meetings where the decision probably has already been made.

??? ???

American Exploration & Mining Association (formerly known as the Northwest Mining Association until 2013) is a 122 year old, 2,100 member, non-profit, non-partisan trade association.

AEMA members reside in 42 states and are actively involved in prospecting, exploring, mining, and reclamation closure activities on USFS administered lands, especially in the West. Our diverse membership includes every facet of the mining industry including geology, exploration, mining, engineering, equipment manufacturing, technical services, and sales of equipment and supplies. AEMA’s broad membership represents a true cross-section of the American mining community from small miners and exploration geologists to both junior and large mining companies. More than 90% of our members are small businesses or work for small businesses. Most of our members are individual citizens.

Now you know.
