I was reading on AOL about how someone had a box of twinkies on sale on ebay for $200,000. dollars! OMG! ::jaw drops:: Now the price has gone up to $250,000. dollars. total drool-fest! And lucky me, a couple of days ago I bought a couple boxes of my favorites, Raspberry Zingers and Suzy Q's. Well I was websurfing Ebay some more and seeing all the ideas on TN when an idea hit me. Why not put a post on Ebay for packages of zingers, twinkies etc and instead of asking for cash, asking for silver instead!! Hmmm.. It would mean I have to open my unopened boxes of edible treasures to get silvery treasure. hmm.. Is it worth it? Well I plan on scouring the local gas stations for some individual packages of hostess yumminess and see about selling those first. Maybe a package of twinkies for a pre-1964 quarter or dime. hehehe. And while I am out and about on the hostess hunt, I dump some coins, look for some halves etc. ohhh, there's an idea that makes me all warm and giddy.

See ya Luvs, wish me luck!

(PS- this post is for humor only and does not constitute a posting of selling or trading etc on TN.)

My employer is bidding on them currently. In fact, I now have to work Thanksgiving because of them shutting down and big places like Wal-Mart needing more bakery items to fill the shelves. Means less CRHing time. :(

dont think of it as less time for crhing think of it as saving an American brand.

what really sucks for me is i have a hostess bakery outlet store right down the street from me but the next chance i will get to see it it will be closed down.

my dad worked for sara lee for over 37 years and they closed down the store that was next to their factory. which stinks to high heaven because that means no more peanut butter cream pies, no more chocolate cream dessert cups, and my fav, no more cranberry-apple pie with frosting on top. Then we lost the butternut store down the road and now we have no more twinkies. Bummer!! All the good stuff of my childhood and adulthood they have gotten rid of.

Personal Favorite is Kellogg's snack-ums fruit loops.

see ya, Garoulady

Holy crap! With that store close by, I would have developed a serious case of diabetes.

Hahaha!!

It will be weird if there a corresponding story about how one Twinkie lover took out a second mortgage to fund her addiction.
