"Two Eagles in One Day"! One is a Flying Eagle Penny 1858, second one this year
Hi guys and gals,
Well guess what they are doing here in NW Ohio? They are starting
to work the fields again for winter. Yah! As you can see from the pictures
I had a pretty good day today.
Started off in the water, not to good their. Did find the 445 Air Wing token
from Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio in the water. Other than that only found one
toe ring and a couple of cheap necklaces.
On the way home I spotted a worked field that I have been keeping my eye on.
They finally worked the field today and off tot he races we go for this fall.
I called my buddy and we went hunting in the field. We called it a day at 7:30 P.M.
As you can see I found some really neat stuff. I guess the best thing to come out
of the field today was the 1858 Flying Eagle Penny. As you can see from the pics
I really had a better day in the field than in the water. The other Eagle I found was a
Eagle Button.
Going back in the morning and hunt the field in a different direction. My buddy
and I are using the ACE 250. For those guys who are using a ACE 250 the Eagle
penny had a sound on the machine that was real dull, I thought it was a nickel when
I heard it, but in a field like this I dig all signals.
My buddy found just as much as I did, except for the flying eagle penny. But in july he
found two flying eagle pennies in the same yard, the same day. How lucky is that?
