I was on my way home from a good MD hunt at the park in an adjacent town when I thought to my self..... Self you have atleast 15 minutes till you have to be home. I only found 2.85 in clad and I was itchin for silver. I have only had this machine for a few days now and I am falling in love with it. I went to a place in my town that I have hit before with no such luck. It had an old house that used to be there and now the owner has removed the top 4" of dirt to build a new house there. Within 2 min I found this beauty at the edge of the dirt pile where he had scraped. Then it got almost too dark to hunt and I had to get home anyways. I will try again tommarrow for more. This is one of 2 to scratch off my list. A Carson City Coin and a Seated Liberty Type all in one coin!! YAH!! Nothing like old Wilver!!! Thanks!! Tom

Great dig. I crossed the same two goals off my list earlier this year with the same coin. Interestingly enough I found mine in upstate NY....kind of a weird place to find a CC dime. Here is a link to the post I made when I found it. It was right on the surface in a plowed farm field.

Yours is nicer than mine though!! Great find!!! ;D
Thanks Tdec1000. I was fortunate to find the one that I did. We are in the same club now. 1876 CC SLD club. They are all nice in my mind.

I've found 3 seated liberty coins, all New Orleans mint ones. I dont know if a CC coin would make it here to Missouri. Congrats on the great coin

Hey Tom,
Congrats on your silver, you beat me to it. I still want to find one of those nice coins.
Hey and while we are on the subject of age, it does not matter how old you are, what
matters is that you are enjoying yourself and doing what you like. (I am 40 by the way)
Happy Hunting and may you find more of the good stuff.

tdec,

Great job......Crossing coins off the finds list is an awesome feeling....!!!!! Especially when it comes too those seated ladies.
