Two "firsts" today !!!!

Went down to another waterfront area in downtown Pensacola today. Found my first silver coin, a 1925 Quarter (standing liberty?), and a copper ring(band).

The quarter is in near pristine condition right out of the dirt. I only cleaned it with water and rubbed with my finger.

The ring was completely covered in petina but I managed to clean it up slightly to reveal a stamping on the inside with the letters "A K" - the second photo clearly shows the"K".

This week has been great...started it off with finding an old pocket watch (posted 11/20/06). I found a bunch of other interesting items today but I'm way to tired to photo and post them.

That is one sweet Standing Liberty Quarter. So many just don't have a date at all and that one has some a date and looks really good. I have found some rings, but not a copper one before or one with the detailed design like that one has.
