I was taking a nature walk and found my first two bottles. I have no knowledge of identifying bottles or even attempting to date them. I was hoping someone would be able to identify and possibly them. Thanks!

State - PA

Bottle #1
Text on Bottle reads -
5 No Deposit * No Refill 70 -- Please do not litter 1(i believe it's likely a 1)
Number 29 on bottom of bottle.

I believe from personal research it's a machine made beer bottle made 1900-present. Still trying to figure out more information!

The brown one is a more modern beer bottle ? The clear one is an older salad dressing bottle ?

Thanks for the information. I found them while exploring around a dump site deep in the woods in Pittsburgh area, PA. I am curious if anyone is able identity the brand of the amber bottle assuming it's beer? Even after researching bottle brands for a bit I haven't found any matching results.

The brown bottle is difficult for me to place, from what I see of it, there does appear to be a symbol, or mark on the bottle neck. Could it actually be a root beer or soda bottle? Perhaps trying to run a search of soda or root beer bottles with the same lettering on the brown bottle may help.

There are no labels from what you've given on the bottle that distinguish it as a liquor/ Beer bottle.

I would agree it appears modern. Perhaps it is related to a nearby company or state?

As for the clear bottle, it appears to me to likely be a Kraft glass condiment bottle.

Much like the one in this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=glass+kraft+bottle&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj9re-Us_vZAhWf0YMKHZ5lBugQsAQI8wE&biw=1094&bih=511#imgrc=TOlhHvdHIA77vM:

Take a look at that bottle there in the link and let me know what you think, look familiar?

That clear bottle I would suggest cleaning up a bit if you haven't already with a mild soap and water, plain old dish or liquid hand soap.

The clear bottle is IMO a neat find. Mostly because I am into that sort of thing. Condiment bottles, salad dressing bottles. Etc. I am a bottle collector, or at the least I do keep an eye out for those things.

Good luck with your amber/brown bottle there, wish I could be more help with it, but from the photos I can not get a good grasp on what exactly to be looking for when doing a quick net search. That symbol or marking on the neck looks like a clue, but I'd have no idea as to how to describe it in a browser search.

Keep your eyes out, consider looking for state or nearby state glass companies in your browser searches, refer to Ebay or Etsy occasionally and take a look at what others are selling for glass bottles.

Someday some more information may turn up.
