Two Liberty's. . . a bit under the weather
Before the 6" snowfall we got here today, I managed to get in my first
few hunts of the season at a county park that's had activity since the 1870's.
I've HEARD that this area has given up HUNDREDS of Seated's and Barber's
of all denominations
but the only stuff I found during my first hunt was a
Hot Wheels motorcycle from the late 90's, a Scout Neck-tie, and a Sterling
silver & Amethyst earring (that I eye-balled near a picnic bench while
dragging my detector to the car in shame).

Yesterday, I had a different plan. . .
I decided that I would get away from the mainstream grass areas that were
a continuous maze of aluminum pop-tabs and would focus my hunt in the
heavily-wooded areas of the park that would be extremely difficult to detect
during the late spring and summer months. I was amazed at how quiet my
detector was. . . no modern pop-tops or bottle caps. . . just the old stuff. . .
including two Liberty's found in the same hole, that looked a bit under the weather :P

Thanks for looking & HH!
