As I've said in past posts I'm scared to throw anything away from Civil War sites until it can be IDed. The problem with the location where these two whats its came from is that they are close enough to a farm to be post war inclusions. I was hoping that someone may recognize these as being CW or can conclude they are farm related.
I thought the "hinge" looking item was a hinge but it has spikes on the back rather than holes for screws/nails which made me think it might have attached to leather. The "hinge" came from a field where we found over 40 .69 cal. musketballs. The link looking thing came from a field in close proximity to a lot of Infantry buttons.

First item I'll say is part of a hinge of some sort. Second item looks like modern fishing tackle.

Second item is a necklace clasp. The end with the eye and prong - squeeze the prong towards the eye to release. Or with yours break the catch.

It's like the one listed as "Pearl" below.

Bingo! I can't believe this one still works. I didn't even think of pushing on the tab.
