This was from a couple of weeks ago, i'm just slow at posting pictures as I've been finding myself at the lakes and rivers more and more often fishing!

Found in the Texas Hill Country.

1. .45-70 Cartridge (Frankford Arsenal - Typical)

2. .45-70 Cartridge ( Frankford Arsenal - Type 2 - Tin plated for corrosion resistance and also shows the transition from internally primed cartridges to traditional)

3. .65 Caliber Ball ( Fired from a Springfield Model 1842 as part of a "Buck-and-Ball" load)

4. Federal Service Button (23mm)

I've said it before, but I am a HUGE Texas History/Civil War/Indian War buff. I especially like this selection because it represents the military occupation of Texas from the 1850s-80s.
