U.S. CW Camp Hunt: Spur, Kepi Buckle, Eagle Button & Dman as "Advisor"

Since Dman's doctor laid the law down with an edict of "absolutely NO detecting for two weeks", He was relegated to "Professional Advisor" (according to him) for Josh and I as we made a 3 hour hunt to the large U.S. infantry, artillery, and cavalry camp today. He needed to be there anyway as we made pics for another article being submitted to W & E Treasures Magazine this week plus he wanted to collect his free lunch from Josh for finding the last Eagle button during last Friday's hunt.
We felt sorry for him and so we designated an appropriate number of signals as "Designated Dman Discovery Signals". Any relics we recovered from those holes were his to keep. Of course, we tried to select brass signals so he might find an Eagle button and replace Josh as the "official lunch buyer".
Our finds from today are shown in the first pic. Dman walked with the brass kepi buckle, Burnside cartridge, and bullets (including the dropped Williams Cleaner that Josh really wanted to call his own-LOL. Josh was very excited to find part of a brass spur and found the most bullets today. I screwed up and found the General Shield Eagle button with shank and Waterbury backmark, the part of a period lock, and three bullets. Josh found the iron spike that we frequently recover in CW sites. Thanks for looking and happy hunting from the Tennessee Trio (with Dman in the role of "Professional Advisor" today), Quindy.

At-a-boy Quindy. Sorry to hear about Dman being demoted to supervisor. :icon_pirat: Hope he gets better soon. Good luck on your coming hunts. :icon_thumright:
Thanks Jesse. He'll be back in the saddle for yard hunting soon as relic season is slowing down. HH Bud, Quindy.

That was a lot of fun supervising. I believe the supervisor should get most of what you two find. I know you are going Friday. Call me when you get done hunting and tell me what I found. ;D
Dman (Emeritus)
We'll make sure vyou find something. Q.

That camp is still given up the relics, Congrats guys, you too Dman. Do what the doctor says's and in
no time you will be beating Josh and Quindy.

I am going in for surgery on my left knee April 15, so I will know how it feels to not detect for awhile, bummer.

Quindy, I bought a American Digger magazine with my Seated Half dollar on the cover, at DIV 16. Thanks for telling me about it.

HH all, Ringfinder
Good luck with your surgery Denny and that was one sweet coin on the cover of AD. HH my friend, Quindy.

Nice general shield button. The williams cleaner looks whole and yuou can never ever complain when the little kepi buckle comes out of the ground. Does it still have the spinning round part on it? Nice digs guys. I am in a gring with nothing but lead. Nothing new that is for sure.
Keep having fun and remember Turkey season is on. You guys sure seem to eat a lot?? :laughing7:

No roller on it Richard. I don't know about eating turkey but the Trio shoots a lot of bull-LOL. If you are digging the lead, another plate or good button is in your future Bud. Thanks for your reply and I always appreciate your expertise with identifying Indian artifacts we find also, Quindy.
