U.S. CW Camp Hunt: Spur, Kepi Buckle, Eagle Button & Dman as "Advisor"
Since Dman's doctor laid the law down with an edict of "absolutely NO detecting for two weeks", He was relegated to "Professional Advisor" (according to him) for Josh and I as we made a 3 hour hunt to the large U.S. infantry, artillery, and cavalry camp today. He needed to be there anyway as we made pics for another article being submitted to W & E Treasures Magazine this week plus he wanted to collect his free lunch from Josh for finding the last Eagle button during last Friday's hunt.
We felt sorry for him and so we designated an appropriate number of signals as "Designated Dman Discovery Signals". Any relics we recovered from those holes were his to keep. Of course, we tried to select brass signals so he might find an Eagle button and replace Josh as the "official lunch buyer".
Our finds from today are shown in the first pic. Dman walked with the brass kepi buckle, Burnside cartridge, and bullets (including the dropped Williams Cleaner that Josh really wanted to call his own-LOL. Josh was very excited to find part of a brass spur and found the most bullets today. I screwed up and found the General Shield Eagle button with shank and Waterbury backmark, the part of a period lock, and three bullets. Josh found the iron spike that we frequently recover in CW sites. Thanks for looking and happy hunting from the Tennessee Trio (with Dman in the role of "Professional Advisor" today), Quindy.
