Ugliest Wheats I've ever dug.

I found an older school building near where I work a while back and finally got about an hour or so to hunt it this evening. I dug 10 wheats out there. All of them where about 7-9" deep. There was about 4" of fill dirt over about 3" of gravel. The coins were underneath that nasty mess and were giving off horrible signals. There weren't many shallow signals there, so I am assuming that somebody hunts it pretty regularly and gets all of that stuff.

None of these wheats are even worth cleaning to find a date. They are nasty green and rusty red. The ring looks like it might be gold plate over sterling, but who knows.

Also got a clad quarter, 2 dimes, a nickel, and 4 memorials.

I have to agree with Nashoba, especially a zinc cent. It will almost be desolved by the soil here in less than 2 years. Copper not so bad but they look rough too. I've found some clad that was bad enough to toss in the trash. evan the coinstar won't take them. HH Stan...
Crackin' up here......I just put a bunch of clad in a coinstar and it spit it back out at me..Ok not all of it but about 10%....No loss as far as I am concerned. I stil have battery money! It is seriously amazing what the soil up here does!
