"Uncle Kenny" finds 1772-1 Reale, Matron Head LC, and Key date 1894-o Barber D.
Me and my Uncle Kenny Adams, just up from Texas for 6 weeks, did a little hunting today on a couple of privately owned summer camps in Hinsdale Ma.(WE have permission). Kenny had ALL the luck as I only found 1 wheatie. In 2 seperate camps, (Lenore and Romaca), yielded him some nice coins today. The Reale was found in a newly constructed ball field on the edge of Plunkett Lake in camp Romaca. The LC was found at the entrance to Lenore,(closed since the early 1980's). Too bad the date is completely worn but I can ID it to an early Matron Head. The 1894-o Barber dime was found on the main dirt road winding through the camp. Red Book value from 2007 @G-4 is $65 so a pretty nice find there. An avid detectorist since the middle seventies, he hasn't been detecting since he moved to Texas last yr! TOO HOT and TOO DRY this year he said. So he couldn't wait to get here to New England. Hopefully we'll have more "goodies" to post in the coming weeks! GOOD LUCK to ALL and HH!
