a few years ago a freind of mine and myself went coin hunting quite a ways north of medford wi. he said people used to picnick there many years ago all solid woods with a creek quite a ways back . i found a couple of wheat pennys but there was so much fresh bear crap i couldnt relax and hunt

I have to agree with Hyperion, the jury's still out. I worked in the bush for about 10 years and never seen bear crap in the forest. It's always on the road or trails.

Thinking like a bear; you're in a pretty vulnerable position and you don't want somebody sneeking up on you. Only people hide when nature calls.
