I was conditioning my horses for an endurance ride today and saw this on the ground. At be a knife of some type? The one edge is completely worked. The other is beveled one way halfway down, then flipped over and beveled the rest of the way down. Bottom looks thin down. Nothing fancy, but cool to find :)

Rule #1 when riding -DON'T LOOK DOWN,lol! That's been difficult to do lately, but since I'm not looking for the next jump to sail over, I'll glance down quite a bit :) I always tell my daughter look where you want to go, if you look down you'll end up on the ground :o

There appears to be a very nice graver tip on it too. Is the other end knocked offf like an end scraper?

I'd call it a multi-purpose tool, and a nice one too.

after a second look, I'd say it IS also an end scraper with a nice graver spur on one edge of the bit at least. Very nice flint version of the Swiss army knife.

And here I thought it wasn't anything special, lol. I knew it was different and the multi-tool makes a lot of sense. I'll be riding at the same place next weekend. It's a private farm, over 2000 acres that wooded with creeks & caves. I'll be looking even harder now :)

Well she did manage to dump me when a turkey flew out of a brush pile. My friend also came off. We are starting a new sport called synchronized tossing, lol! I wasn't looking down though, we were actually looking out for deer. We are getting ready for an endurance ride in your neck of the woods, LBL. Just doing 25 miles though.
