Is there any danger to these at all?
They should be fine. In the off chance you want to get rid of them, try your local PD. They may take them and dispose of them. That's the way it works around my neck of the woods anyway.

Sure, Maybe if you hit them with a hammer, or, throw them in a fire. They're no more (probably less) dangerous than any other live shotgun round. What are your plans for them? If you're going to keep them and are worried about any perceived hazard, peel open the red end and dump out the pellets and gunpower. What little is in the primer is nothing to worry about.

They never were totally waterproof. After years in the ground, I'm sure the powder is no longer combustible.
