Hello all,
I work for a local quarry, and I often find deposits in the PA sandstone that look like this.
My boss wants me to figure out what it is.
It is not magnetic.
I also might add, it is very heavy compared to normal sandstone.
Thanks!

It LOOKS like pyrite. What part of PA? Near Allentown there are uranium deposits (scattered.)

Ok, that's what it has to be.
It doesn't seem quite as flaky or shiny as most pictures, but it does seem to match a few.
I am near Bloomsburg, about 65 miles from Allentown. Too bad it's not uranium... that would be cool!
Thanks for your help guys!
