I was helping my neighbor move some furniture at his house and he mentioned that there was a 30 foot section of an old Civil War Road on his property and he told me that I should try to find some relics down there.
I got my trusty F-75 LTD with my 10 X 12 SEF coil and went slowly down each side of the road.
I found a 1938 Wheatie, a nice dropped cleaner bullet, and then I got an "iffy" signal.
I dug and dug and at 14 inches, I pulled this "Roached" breast plate out of the ground. It had been in the ground for 150 years and had been run over countless times from then until now.
It was a great 30 minute hunt.
Thanks for looking!
