Found this in the front yard just about an hour ago. It's definitely a coin,no shank mark's what so ever. While cleaning this I noticed from an angle a bust of some kind. It's 17.4+/-mm and is only 1.0mm thick. This thing is worn to death.Any info would be great, thank's for looking.

I say wheat too. Looks like copper and the profile is clearly there. I've found pennies that all kinds of strange things had been done to for who knows what reason. My guess is this is another example.

Joe,
I may have figured it out. It's a Wheat Thin. :tongue3: :laughing9:
Sorry, I couldn't pass that up. :occasion14:

Whatever it is, let's make it festive! (I saw Sponge Bob, but couldn't draw it! :laughing7:))

Good one. ;D

It's clearly not a Wheat penny, but I could see how some of you were fooled, because that is definitely Lincoln's picture on the coin... If you blow the photo up really, really big, it appears to be a 1969-S memorial with a doubled die obverse... Very rare... If it was in much better condition, it would be worth $35,000 or more.... :D Maybe you could put it on e-bay and say that's what it is... See if you get any takers....
