My brother found this in the middle of a field. Can anyone tell us what it is and how old it is? Also, the value on it.

Boy it would be nice to see the pics up a little closer. But for a WAG, I'm gonna say a carved up large cent.

don,t realy need a value,but info and also if need closer pics you can click on writing at bottom of picture and open. you will be able to increse or decrese the pic to the size that sutes you. thanks again for any help

i would agree buckle boy but, it dos,nt apear to have a void where it would have been attached by an eye or a hoop it,s perfectly round like a coin or token of some sort. it,s also not the same markings on this piece.

I tried resizing by your instructions and this is the best I can do. If Buckleboys ID is not a match, we will never know.

If you look hard at the top you can see where the loop has been ground/filed off. I think Buck nailed it!
