Made of metal
Looks like has some type of antenna
Has what looks like two small adjustable knobs

Found along old civil war route
Property with history of house built 50’s
Since tore down, but were this was found was no were next to were old house was

Just open image search and type something like "1980s electric bel". Look through results; if not found, change to 1970s, rinse and repeat. Play around with the likes of "electric doorbell", "factory alarm bell" and "school bell" too, as it can be either one (while technically being an "electric bell").

It's an old doorbell. This isn't an exact match but it is the same general setup as the one you've posted. (minus the bell)
