That would be a one of the plungers for a brake wheel cyl. on a car.

That would be a one of the plungers for a brake wheel cyl. on a car.

Sounds right, but I thought pistons for caliper brake systems have a groove to seat a hydraulic seal or boot.
I don't see one in the photo. (?)

Anyway, if it was found on the road, then it must be a Ford part.
Assuming the "Duck & Cover" position now. :laughing7:

Truthfully, I did drive some mechanically questionable Ford's in my college days....

I guess the 28mm dimension provided in the initial post rules out disc calipers! Duh!

The Ford comment was more of a joke, poking fun that Ford trucks fall apart as you drive them.
Or at least mine did. Come to think of it, the driving part was optional.

Yup, wheel cylinder piston. If it's 28mm in diameter, it's probably off a truck.
