I guess you could call it an educated guess. I was familiar with the cross from coins dating maybe 100 years later.

Well, the Portuguese make up a portion of the population of Andorra: "Portuguese (13,794),". It could have come from anyone of their Portuguese ancestors.

I assure you I'm not born in Andorra or Portugal ...... Catalan (Spain) from Barcelona ... and resort in Andorra.
