We aimed to finish this site today but when we got home & plotted the last find, we still have about 5% of the scatter to finish next time. At the start I predicted 100 Roman Coins from the whole Site, we are now on exactly 100. However, I expected at least 1 silver & that hasn't happened yet...
We started the morning on a small strip of grass next to the Roman Site, because it hadn't been cut in years & we wanted to do it for the first time before it grow back up. On my 2nd run I got a big hammered & then it went dead, so we decided to finish the edge of the site that we never had time for. The Roman silver came way off from the main scatter, proving why we do this type of big gridding that expands the edges of the scatter.
(all 3 silvers fell to me today, Cru'dad has some chasing to do ....)
