When Bobbie and I headed out yesterday I wasnt thinking road trip weekend we were heading out to check a county that we had never spent much time detecting in. This is part of the way we develop our sites for future hunts. So armed with addresses and the ever present tom-tom we headed out. First school produced a silver earring for each of us, ok that was good. Next spot I found a small silver ring, Bobbie finds white gold butterfly pendant that has pink zircons and diamonds. Ok now we are thinking this is going to be great ,well that was it for the next several hours as we rode site to site only to find either full of kids, locked out or just could'nt see a playground. We finally did get a couple of spots to detect and found clad and some junk jewelry.
While we were eating lunch Bobbie suggested that we just stay the night so we could detect more of the area this morning. Do I have a great wife or what? Peanut was in favor too. So a quick phone call to book us a room for the night and we were rolling again.
This morning we headed back to check a couple of spots and they were already covered with folks so these were marked for another time. It was time to head to another county that we had detected before. First spot here the silver herring bone chain was found , Bobbie found gold anniversary band at 3rd spot it is 10k with 9 diamonds. At our last spot Bobbie found her 3rd piece of gold for the weekend a 14k bracelet. Here I found a 14k/cz earring.
We called it a day after this one and headed home.
So weekend totals Bobbie 3-gold 1-silver, Dave 3-silver 1-gold. We didnt find a whole lot of clad this weekend but the goodies made up for it plus and equally important we picked up several new locations to detect in on future adventures
