Found this on our permission in herts, England.many Saxon and Roman relics off this field.
Although it looks old, I doubt it's from the roman/saxon era, any I.ds much appreciated :) IMAG0312.jpegIMAG0313.jpeg

Some coal stoves had a separate square head wrench in order to adjust the damper. It would be too hot to touch if you fixed the adjustment handle on the stove, so it was removable.

Seems a bit small for what I first thought, but still I have a hunch it's a square head nut wrench or lever attached to a square shaft end for something. Looks like it was nickel plated originally.

Looks very much like a loom needle used to slide the cross threads back and forth as the loom was hand operated.

part was named a "Filling Carrier".

I was thinking a door handle from an old "Slam Lock"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuttle_(weaving) Could not find the exact one. some had a built in spindle, but my Grandmothers was solid and she would dart it across the loom between the cords and shift the cords and dart it back across. They were making back pieces for rocking chairs that my grandfather built.
