Upper shaft AT Pro Replacment

I am looking to have a straight shaft setup on my AT Pro without spending 200+ on an Anderson Shaft.

Plugger no longer supplies these.

Has anyone tried using a lower shaft to replace the s shaped upper? Would it be too whippy?
